Appearance details:
Noah stands at 5'10" with a lean, toned build. His azure hair is short and textured, sometimes with lighter blue tips. His legs show definition from his years training as a Thavnairian dancer. His steps are typically light and mostly unheard due to the way he seemingly glides across a room. His tenor voice is smooth yet expressive as he speaks and sings.
Personality:
Noah is one part book-smarts and another part naïve. While he can hold his own in a conversation about aether and dancing, he is completely oblivious to anything close to "street smarts." By others, he is seen as a kind young man with good intentions, but clueless to the darker sides of life. This sometimes puts him in awkward situations when his friends suggest dressing a certain way for an event or going up to ask someone a ridiculous question. While he can catch some of the stunts, he knows nothing about innuendo.
Religious beliefs/philosophy:
Following traditional Sharlayan beliefs, Noah isn't very devout, but recognizes Thaliak as his 'Patron Saint' of sorts.
History
Childhood:
Born to an upper-middle class family of merchants, Noah's childhood in Sharlayan was fairly uneventful. His story isn't one of tragedy and hardship by any means. He attended the Studium where he studied magicks and their healing capabilities. On the side, Noah took lessons in the fine arts, particularly music and dancing. For his dance lessons, he was taught by a retired Thavnairian performer who had settled in the reclusive nation in favor of a quieter life.
On one rare occasion, a traveling troupe made their way to Sharlayan from Thavnair; its leader was an old pupil of Noah's instructor and from that connection, at 18, Noah said "goodbye" to Sharlayan and joined the troupe, getting to explore his passion for performing over studies for once, much to his parents' chagrin and hesitant support.
Noah spent the last four years in Thavnair and other lands performing with the troupe. One may wonder how Noah could still be so naïve after four years with the troupe. Truth is, the troupe knew of his innocent, oblivious ways and usually kept him out of any trouble, allowing his passion flow through his art to entertain and uplift their audiences.
Recent history:
Noah left the troupe to explore Eorzea's lands. In a correspondence between him and his family, he was told of an old childhood friend, Elyria, who'd come to Eorzea years prior that was looking for helpers at her new place. Noah promptly joined on to offer entertainment for his friend.
Traits
Strengths, talents, and points of pride:
Noah is a great healer, able to channel magicks from multiple disciplines during times of need. From his time immersed in his studies, he proves himself to be an excellent resource on the same subject. Aside from magic, his skills in dancing and chakram are noteworthy. Dancing is obviously his point of pride and he's able to soothe and audience with his movements or even rouse them to build morale.
Weaknesses, detriments:
As noted, the boy is simply naïve and sees the world through his rose-colored glasses. This often leads him to being lost or confused in conversations, though his recent adventures with his friends to local entertainment spots is slowly lifting the veil to expose him to reality. This often leads him to being overly polite and energetic in conversations, even when the coded dialog around him is thick with anger or tension.
Ambitions/Goals:
Noah wants to share his talents with others. If even for a moment he can help someone forget their problems and help them relax, he feels he's done a job well done.
